Participating in UC Irvine Honors to Honors

Last Updated: 2025

The UCI Honors to Honors (H2H) program is a transfer agreement between UCI and California Community College honors programs. If you are admitted to the program, you are eligible for priority admission to UC Irvine.

General Requirements:

  • You must submit an admissions application to UCI with a UC transferable GPA of 3.7 or higher.
  • You must be confirmed by your community college honors program director as a member in good standing, and successfully complete your Honors Program requirements by the end of the spring quarter prior to transfer. For Foothill students, this means that you must speak with Tracee Cunningham, who can nominate you for H2H if you have completed Foothill's honors requirements with a GPA of 3.7 or higher.
  • Complete all transfer requirements, including prerequisites for your major. Submit your Transfer Academic Update (TAU) by January 31.

Major-Specific Information:

  • For impacted majors, completion of H2H does not guarantee admission. Foothill College has seen H2H applicants with impacted majors (namely, Computer Science) receive an admission to their alternate major at UCI. This program will provide priority admission, meaning it is easier to get in, but it is not guaranteed. If your major is impacted, it is strongly recommended that you select an alternate major.
